The Kin and LOTRO
Scions of Eöl is a rank 8 (10) (Elf) Kinship.
The Scions of Eöl is a rebranding of old kin founded by military veterans in 2008, prior to the release of the Mines of Moria. It was formerly known as The Galadhrim. The Scions are small kin for older players and their children. The common thread between them is a long history of playing together in-game, military service, and a shared common interest in Tolkien's works. Now as parents the Scions are family oriented for minor children to enjoy the LOTRO experience with their parents. Primarily focused on 100+ Characters and new group of 50 and under characters. The Kin is very carefully recruiting new members.
The Kin was founded in early 2008 as The Galadhrim and it lasted in its full form of 7 full-time players and 9 associated players through Moria and Mirkwood Content. During that time it enjoyed kin alliances with Knight of Dol Amroth and Dragon Snacks. As real-life events overtook members: combat deployments; the birth of children; grad school; and one or two divorces; the kin went dormant through much of the Rohan and Isengard Content expansions. In 2015, it was rebranded as the Teulu ( Welsh for family) and limped along through the Gondor expansions. Later, a few old members returned and children matured to where they were being introduced to the LOTRO game world it was then the Scions of Eöl emerged out of the Ashes of the Teulu. It had served it purpose as a low level elf kinship. And so the Scions emerged from the pyre with the odd paradigm of high endgame content level toons and new players with low-level entry level content characters. It is an interesting admixture of a decade of LOTRO Experience with fresh new vitality and enthusiasm. We are one of the few kins that can boast of two generations of players.

Kinship Lore (Fictional Kin Lore in Game)
The Scions of Eöl (s:Eölirionath) are the survivors of the fallen house of Eöl and his treacherous son Maeglin. They are the dark, brooding and crafty elves of the House of the Mole in Gondolin and Eöl's retainers of Nan Emloth who survived the fall of their lords, and the breaking of the world in first and second ages. The lead by the Noldo-Sindar admixture of the illegitimate line of Eöl's house through his son's half-hazardly conceived offspring and the servants and followers from his broken Noble house. After the fall of Melkor, under their new lord's banner, they followed Celebrimbor into Eregion and served as apprentices and journeymen in the craft halls. They were ever vigilant to don sword and shield to secure the new found prosperity of Ost in Edhil. It was after the forging of the rings of power, and Celebrimbor's fall during the war of Sauron and the Elves, they fled to Imladris. There the twice now displaced remnants merged in bonds of fidelity and in personal union with the last relations of Celebrimbor's Feanorian house. and for half an age they sought succor and healing in Imladris through the Second and Third Age till after the fall of fornost in T.A. 1975. In the aftermath of the destruction of the Northern Dunedain Kingdom, the sea called them and they departed to Edhellond. There they wait till the last call and their Lord sanctions their ship to take them into the undying west.

Kin Organization & Recruitment
The Scions are a kinship run with the following mission statement: to create a positive, ethical and family nurturing kinship within the gaming environment. Thus, the kin is run with a structured hierarchy and a clear code of conduct. The kin gives a nod to the tolkien body of works and loosely adheres to the literature. It is kin founded under an elf charter and 90% of the kinsmen are elves, there is an allowance for 10% of the membership to contain dwarves and an elected dwarf officer. This is acknowledging the lore of Eöl's strong crafting and social bonds with the dwarves of the Ered Lhuin.
All officers have to have a dwell time of 4 months in the kin and be selected for Leadership, Integrity, and Mentoring. All kinsmen have to have a minimum of 30 calendar days of dwell time in the kin and have participated in one kinship instance run. Al All kinsmen must abide by the code of conduct.
Communications Plan
The Kin does use user chat channels with passwords to avoid the chaos of world chat. Those channels will be disclosed when a member reaches kinsmen rank.

Code of Conduct
1. Promote a child-friendly gaming environment within the kin

Recruiting new Kinsmen!
The Scions of Eöl (Ithil) are looking for new kinsmen. The Eldar Kin is rank 10 and generally run by two longtime players who have been around since the Lotro: Shadows of Angmar launch.
The kin's mission is to promote a positive ingame playing experience. We have extensive raid, pvp, and landscape experience. Within that we offer advice, mentoring, access to Doomfold/Guild Mastercraftsmen, a premium deluxe kinhouse, with onsite crafting facilities.
What we are looking for are players young and old, experienced and inexperienced, who have a good team spirit, present good ingame ethical playing, and are focused on good gaming across the spectrum.
We are a RL family oriented kin, so language, manners, and morals are part of the candidate's criteria that are looked at. We support children having a safe and pleasant ingame experience.
We are an elf centric kin, however, we do allow 10% of the membership to be dwarves and they elect there own officer.

Crafting
Presently the kin does offer free crafting services to the Lotro Community, given the mats are provided. Furthermore the premium universal ingredient boxes at the kin house are set for all to use, mind you have to be a subscriber to use the premium box. Further, the kin has also set the crafting facilities at the kin house for anyone to use.

Roleplaying
It would be rare if we indulge in light-roleplay, however, we are more likely to discuss the written works regarding the world of middle-earth.
Roving Threat and Instance Runs
The Kin, when the bulk of the members are on, is more than willing to host RT Brand-Safari runs in the following areas: Dol Amroth, Central Gondor, North Downs, Forochel, and the Misty Mountains the senior member of the Kin has mapped all the locations and are more than capable of leading such expeditions, for the benefit of all even providing a hunter for fast transport.
The Kin is very well versed in the Shadows of Angmar, Mines of Moria, Mirkwood and Mordor Instances and Content and T1/T2. We are always happy to host a Kin-PUG raid or Instance run.
