Evenstar Alliance is mainly a PvE based kinship. Crafting, PvMP, Raiding and RP is also encouraged, but is not our main focus. Our goal is to get the absolute maximum out of this game! We're not a huge kinship since we prefer to know our members; "quality over quantity" as they say.
"Where darkness has overcome light, we bring light back again."

History
It was a late and cold evening when the two elves marched out of Rivendell. Neither of them would say anything. There was nothing left to say. They had discussed and argued for days, and now they were of one mind. They could no longer ignore the terrifying rumours that had begun to reach them in The Last Homely House. If there truly was an evil growing in Eriador such as the one they were hearing about, they could not sit around and wait for it to come to them while the free-people were being slaughtered in their beds. They knew some of their kin would call them rash, but that no longer bothered them. They knew what they must do and they were past the stage where they cared about such things.
They were not long out of Rivendell when they heard her beautiful voice calling to them.
“Wait,” she cried, and it was nearly enough to make the two of them turn back at once, such was the sweetness they heard, “you would not leave without my blessing.”
They looked to the source of that voice, and saw with delight that it was fair Arwen, daughter of the lord of Rivendell, Elrond, who called to them. They smiled at each other then at her, before bowing deeply in her direction. When they straightened themselves Arwen had closed the distance between them. She wore a shimmering white gown, which blew softly in the wind. It seemed far too cool this night for such attire, but the elf didn’t seem to mind. She had a thin, elegant silver band, which wrapped around her forehead and held her thick black hair back.
“Oh, my brave adventurers,” she continued, “if only I could go with you, I fear so much for your safety. There will be such perils where you are going, I beg of you not to do this alone. Your courage is admirable, my friends, but you will need allies in this time of darkness, when evil seeks to undermine the works of the free-people. We must do away with the prejudices of our past. No longer can we afford to rely on our own kind alone. Seek out all the people of the free races: “Our fair kindred Elves of the West. “The strong Dwarves from their mountain holes. “The brave Men, whose fighters are of great skill. “And last of all, even the small Hobbits, who hold great courage deep within them.
“Take all those whose intentions are honourable, whose love for his fellow man is great, whose strength, intelligence and cunning are unmatched. Bring them all together; take them with you where you go into the darkest reaches of middle-earth, and together you will be an unstoppable force of righteousness.
“Arvion and Avalin,” she named them, and they could see tears gathering, ready to roll down her cheeks, “go now, for each second you remain will make it harder for me to watch you leave. I beg the stars in the skies; the proud, mighty trees; and the wind that caresses the earth. I beg them all to see you safely through your quest. Farewell, I hope to see you again.”
And with that she swirled around and made her way swiftly up towards Rivendell.
Arvion and Avalin looked at eachother, they knew what the other was thinking. They wondered if they would ever see Rivendell again. Silently they turned again away from the place that had been their home for so long, and marched towards their fate.

Arwen’s words stayed with the pair as they made their way through the dangerous Trollshaws. It was in those woods that the weight of their mission began to sink in. They weren’t sure where they were going, or what they were going to do, and more than once they felt despair over the difficulty of their task. But, whenever they were about to lose their will to go on, they remembered the faith Arwen had in them, and it imbued with them more strength and determination than ever.
On the seventh night after having left Rivendell, Arvion awoke with a start. He and Avalin had been attempting to give a suitable name to the kinship they planned to form, but had been unable to decide on one that would inspire their kinsman with hope and courage and dedication to their cause. And now it came to him. It was so obvious, that he laughed at their foolishness.
His laughter awoke Avalin. “I hope you’re about to tell me something extremely humorous, you woke me up.” Avalin said hoarsely.
“Oh well, maybe not so funny, but I have decided we must name this band of free people we are forming in honour of Lady Arwen Evenstar. What do you think?” replied Arvion.
Avalin smiled ever so slightly and nodded his head
“Excellent, the Evenstar Alliance it is,” said Arvion.
Avalin nodded again and closed his eyes, and soon he was back to his heavy sleep.
The next day, as they were walking through the woods, Avalin was brought from his train of thought when he realised something was amiss. He could hear something; someone was near to them. He moved closer to Arvion.
“I think we are being followed.” Avalin whispered to his companion. Arvion nodded, “yes, I’ve just noticed too…”
Arvion didn’t have time to finish when two arrows came shooting out of the leaves with a hiss, one headed for each of them. Neither were taken unaware though, and with the lightening reaction of their elven people, they spun easily away from the arrows and had already raised each of their bows and fired off a volley of arrows in the direction they had been attacked from before they had finished dodging.
There was a silence for a second as they stared after where they had sent their arrows. Then they heard a rustling coming out of the trees. They prepared to fire again when they heard a voice call out.
“There aren’t many who can react like that so I must surely have stumbled on to a pair of my own kind.”
An elf walked out from behind a tree and smiled at them. “My apologies for firing at you, this forest has become even more dangerous of late, and what with me being on my own, I must take precautions. You two are quite good shots, if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m not the type to stay in one place for long you would have had me for sure.”
Avalin and Arvion stared at the elf. “Who are you?” They asked in unison.
The elf smiled, “my name is Erynhenwe, who might you be?”
They told Erynhenwe their names.
“Hmm, well Avalin and Arvion, it isn’t wise to be this far from Rivendell, or haven’t you heard? There is a shadow that is descending upon the lands of Eriador. They say a terrible force is gathering in Angmar, preparing to attack.” Erynhenwe said sombrely.
“Yes, we know, and it is this threat that takes us away from our home. We go forth to stop this evil before it is too late. We will travel to the ancient kingdom of Angmar and foil their plans.” replied Avalin.
"A grand and noble task, but don’t ask me to accompany you on this folly, I have my own things to look after!"
Erynhenwe went quiet for a short while.
"Though, of course, you can not succeed alone, you will need help.” He said sadly
“Indeed, we do not plan to go alone, we will gather all the free people who will join us into the Evenstar Alliance, be they Dwarves, Elves, Hobbits or Men, anyone who wishes to protect these lands we love from the coming darkness. We will drag the evil kicking and screaming from its lairs and force it to face the true light of Evenstar!” cried Arvion.
Erynhenwe watched the pair for a long while, until they turned and walked off. But it was not long before he yelled:
“Wait!” He walked swiftly up to them. “I… your bravery has touched me. What a coward I would be if I walked away now, and did not accompany you to see you through all the dangers you have taken upon yourselves to face. I must go with you, to stand proudly at your sides against the tides of darkness.”
Then Erynhenwe drew his sword, dropped to one knee and passionately swore loyalty to Lady Evenstar and the alliance.
Avalin and Arvion nodded to each other, then smiled at Erynhenwe
“We gladly accept your aid, good friend.” Said Arvion.
Erynhenwe rose, “Thank you, my brothers. Now, I believe we should make our way to Bree at once, that is where we will find those who will help us in this great quest.”
“That is wise counsel. To Bree we shall go then, to build a force so great and cunning that it will make Angmar shake.” Said Avalin...
