Walkthrough & Notes

Stairs to the top of the wall are to the south of Ingold. The first warrior is at the far NORTHERN end of the wall - [59.3S, 18.4W] The second warrior is on the tower overlooking the wall on the north side of the gate - [59.3S, 17.7W] Note that from this position, you can see one of the Púkel-men adjacent to Stonewain Valley through which the Rohirrim will ultimately ride. The third warrior is on the tower overlooking the wall on the south side of the gate- [59.3S, 17.4W] The fourth warrior is at the far SOUTHERN end of the wall (at a breech in the wall) - [59.4S, 17.2W] Note that this warrior has often fallen off t he wall and requires a GM to intervene to complete the quest.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'At any moment the Rohirrim may come to our aid. I will welcome them like my own brother. 'As I await the arrival of the Rohirrim, my men scout the land north of the Out-wall, while we hold the northern gate from the enemy. 'I am afraid to leave the North-gate unattended as many spies of the enemy roam nearby. Would you check in with my men upon the wall in my stead so I may learn what they have seen today?' Background Ingold, captain of the Out-wall, asks of you to speak with his scouts upon the Rammas and relay their information to him. Objective 1 Speak with the first Gondorian warrior The first Gondorian warrior in Ingold's command can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should speak with the first Gondorian warrior. Gondorian Warrior: 'Nothing stirs upon the Mountain side today. See for yourself. 'Just don't tell Ingold that I've nearly fallen asleep up here!' Objective 2 Take a look around The first Gondorian warrior can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should look around the area. Indeed, the Mountainside looks quiet Objective 3 Speak with the second Gondorian warrior The second Gondorian warrior in Ingold's command can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should speak with the second Gondorian warrior. Gondorian Warrior: 'Look closely out there and you will see men on horseback in the fields north of here. It is not the Rohirrim though... 'Easterling riders patrol the fields of Talath Anor. Perhaps they know of the Rohirrim and plan to ambush them?' Objective 4 Take a look around The second Gondorian warrior can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should look around the area. You should speak with the third Gondorian warrior. Gondorian Warrior: 'I am concerned with what I have been watching today. Look across the river and you will see men and Orcs preparing for war!' Objective 6 Take a look around The third Gondorian warrior can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should look around the area Across the river lies an army of Orcs and Easterlings from the north Objective 7 Speak with the fourth Gondorian warrior The fourth Gondorian warrior in Ingold's command can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should speak with the fourth Gondorian warrior. Gondorian Warrior: 'I've been watching Pelennor Fields and the news I have is nothing that Ingold does not already know. The eastern fields are overrun with the enemy. 'However, I have noticed some of the northern forces are starting to converge with the forces already in Pelennor. I fear war is upon us.' Objective 8 Take a look around The fourthy Gondorian warrior can be found upon the northern Out-wall. You should look around the area Indeed, the east of Pelennor Fields is overrun with the enemy Objective 9 Speak with Ingold Ingold can be found at the northern gate of the Rammas. You should speak with Ingold. Ingold: 'I see. So, <name>, it seems there is much to be done if we are to make safe passage for the Rohirrim when they approach this great city. I am counting on you for assistance in this matter.'
