Walkthrough & Notes

Sútmoth can be found at one of the following locations on a daily rotation: Coordinates Directions / Description [25.5S, 0.1E] Head southwest from the High Crag camp, and up the side of the hill to this location. The location is an exposed rock, usually surrounded by Mammoths. [23.1S, 1.1E] Head northeast from Glóin's Camp, or northwest from the High Crag camp, or west from Vindurhal until you reach the Caldwell Pool. The location is on the southern end of the frozen pool. [31.3S, 3.2E] Nestled in the middle of a Frost-giant camp, this location is accessible by heading southeast or southwest from the High Crag camp through the dwarves/giants/trolls/bears to the Giant Halls. The fastest way is via a Hunter's Return to Camp skill, provided they have the Giant Halls camp site fire set as their camp. [21.9S, 4.4E] Located south of Akûltot, and west of Ghâshru. The quickest way to get here is to head north-northwest from Vindurhal, slide down one level and walk down one more level. [22.0S, 7.6E] Located east of Glóin's camp near The Mountain's Throat (Goblin-town), and southwest of Starkhath. Sútmoth uses various swipe attacks to incapacitate you. Along with the skills Frost-clap (stun), and Impale. Sútmoth also has the Monster Speed Modifier, which means he can run +25% faster than normal. Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue 'The cold does not bother me too much my friend. However, some areas of the Misty Mountains seem colder still. 'At first I thought it was my imagination, but then I saw a creature of frost and cold. It was an Ice Giant! If this beast is not dealt with, I will surely freeze to death and you will have to thaw me in the Forges of Khazad-dûm!' Background Beasts of various origins have been causing problems for the dwarves in the Misty Mountains, including Sútmoth, who brings harsh weather in his wake that endangers any mountain explorer. Objective 1 Defeat Sútmoth Sútmoth can be found somewhere in The Misty Mountains. You should defeat Sútmoth. Objective 2 Speak with Authi Authi can be found in Glóin's Camp in the Misty Mountains. You should speak with Authi. Authi: 'The campfire only provides so much warmth as I am sure you know. 'You have done a great service in defeating that frigid Ice Giant. Now the Misty Mountains can remain cold instead of bitter cold.'
