Walkthrough & Notes

To start the quest, if you just completed the riddle that ends with "Snake", enter the room (the room with dragonets in it), and click the empty plaque on the wall. The name of it "Riddle" may not be visible until you click it. There is a Stone Chest beneath a waning crescent moon plaque in the same chamber as the starting plaque. Inside you will find a key. Spoiler Alert The answer is Moon. The chest beneath the plaque with a moon symbol [12.2S, 111.2W] has the key.

Bestowal Dialogue This plaque is inscribed with a riddle in Falgeirr's strange language. At night, I come without being fetched. By day, though lost, I am not gone. All know me, but only the ocean heeds my call. Background You solved the first riddle, which led to a plaque marked with a snake. Further within the room thus marked is a plaque inscribed with a riddle in Falgeirr's hand. Objective 1 Choose the chest marked with a plaque that solves the riddle Solve Twisttongue's riddle by choosing the correct chest: At night, I come without being fetched. By day, though lost, I am not gone. All know me, but only the ocean heeds my call. You have found a strange rune-marked key within the chest Objective 2 Talk to Öndótt about the key you found Öndótt can be found in the Old Silvertine City in the Silvertine Lodes. You should tell Öndótt that you solved an ancient riddle and uncovered a key. Öndótt: 'You are a riddle-master as well as a doughty <class>, eh, <name>? That is most impressive! Let us see what you found here...a key? 'Interesting! I should hang onto this, if I were you. It might come in handy if you find any more of Twisttongue's riddling in Moria.'
