Grodbog Mucous deposits can be collected while in combat, so one can use companions, runestones, crowd control, etc. to avoid interruption.
Grodbog Hive-defenders and Grodbog Hive-queens drop the glands for the quest; Grodbog Workers do not (although are quite weak and can be defeated for the mission slayer deed).
Grodbog Hive-Queens have an Impregnate attack (similar to that of gredbyg in Ost Dunhoth, Impregnate). The induction is interruptible. Upon application, there is a short stun. Then the debuff starts a 30-second countdown. If not dispelled, and if the original Grodbog Hive-queen who did the Impregnate is still in combat with the player, then there is a Stomach Rupture event, for a small amount of damage, and a Writhing Host-crawler spawns, as an ally of the Grodbog Hive-queen. If any of the above conditions is not true, either Stomach Rupture never occurs, or it occurs, but no ally is spawned. It appears that any given Grodbog Hive-queen can only attempt the Impregnate attack once.
Grodbog Hive-queens will also occasionally cast Shrieking Maw, for a 10-second Silenced debuff.
Exiting the instance and re-entering will not reset progress; this can be used as a shortcut to return to the entrance.
After completing your objectives, there is a limited time (2 minutes) before you will be automatically ejected from the instance. You need to find and open the "Mission Reward" chest before this happens. Defeating more enemies does not reset the timer!
