You generally have to double back to the other side before the Dath Lum, the Shadow-pit to find enough Morgulduin waters spots. There are five water spots before Dath Lum and the battle with Balchneth. Completing this quest contributes to the Quest:Imlad Morgul: The Reclamation.

Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue 'Arodor has asked me to give you these phials. They were brought to us by the Elves of Lothlórien and contain pure waters from high mountain springs. We believe that if this water is brought to the source of the Morgulduin River, it may begin to cleanse itself of the years of defilement. If you are to venture inside the Filth-well of Eithel Gwaur, bring these phials with you and begin the process to purify the river.' Background There is much for the White Company to accomplish in reclaiming Minas Ithil from the remnants of Sauron's forces. Objective 1 Add pure water to the source of the Morgulduin (0/6) The waters of the Morgulduin are deadly at its source. You should attempt to purify the deadly waters of the Morgulduin River. Objective 2 Completed You have successfully brought these pure waters to the source of the Morgulduin in hopes of beginning the priocess of purifying the tainted river. You have done a great service to all those working to reclaim Minas Ithil from the remnants of Sauron's forces.
