Bestowal Dialogue

'<name>, we have drawn but a few breaths since the Haradrim retreat, and I would be loathe to breathe many more without knowing what has become of Dagor.

Would you follow his reckless tracks and learn his fate? I could trust no one more than yourself with this task, so dear is it to my heart.

'Go - and do whatever must be done.'

Background

Just as the Haradrim assault on Arnach broke and fell back, Dagor and some of his men ran madly off into the darkness. The time has come to go in search of them.

Objective 1

Dagor ran eastward out of Arnach.

Stones for a cairn can be found around the clearing where Dagor and his men died, due east of Arnach.

You found Dagor's lifeless corpse. It is clear that he died a soldier's death. You should give him and his men a heroes' rite and build a cairn where they fell.

Dagor and his newly-built cairn lie in a clearing due east of Arnach.

You observe a solemn silence in honour of the fallen

Objective 5

Baranor stands within the keep in Arnach.

You the lifeless corpses of Dagor and his men. It is clear that he died a soldier's death. You should return to Baranor and tell him of how you built a cairn and mourned his loss.

Baranor: A tear falls from Baranor's eye.
'Poor lads! In truth, it might have gone just this way, had Dagor gone off with Forlong and the others.
'He died running into battle, and not from it. I see now a kind of naive folly mixed with those brave passions I so admired in Dagor, but I think I shall remember him for that bravery and his soldierly bearing. In my heart, he died a soldier's death.'
