Bestowal Dialogue
'We should be safe to explore the city, as long as you remain aware that the Ordâkhai control the elevated district on the southern rise. Why not climb to the west and look at the commons of the city, <name>? It will do you some good to learn the layout of Zajâna. Afterwards we will meet up with Glorfindel and Inkanûsh and determine our next course.'
Background
Zajâna the Splendid towers over Kighân, and visitors to the city are drawn to its libraries and cultural centres. Even so, peaceable travellers must avoid the presence of Ordâkh, which still attempts to control the city as it did before.
Objective 1
- Climb the stairs west to the commons of Zajâna
- Look at the commons to learn the layout of the city
Ulishár suggested that you climb the stairs to the west and look at the commons of the city, so you might learn the layout of Zajâna.
- Ulishár: 'Why not climb the stairs to the west and look at the commons of the city, <name>? It will do you some good to learn the layout of Zajâna. Afterwards we will meet up with Glorfindel and Inkanûsh and determine our next course.'
- A bridge to the Ordâkhai-controlled district is beyond the arch to the south. The scholar's district is north
Objective 2
- Walk north into the scholar's district and find the stage
- Look at the stage in the scholar's district
North of the commons lies the scholar's district of the city. Ulishár recommended that you go there and look at the various sights of Zajâna.
- Ulishár: 'You should learn the layout of Zajâna. Afterwards we will meet up with Glorfindel and Inkanûsh and determine our next course.'
- Glorfindel sees you approach and calls a greeting
Objective 3
Glorfindel is by the stage in north-western Zajâna.
- Glorfindel: 'I see that Ulishár was able to find you, <name>! I am glad.
- 'I have learned that a theatre troupe is about to perform an entertainment. Têrkar's Travellers, they are called, and if the talk I have overheard is to be believed, they are supposed to be quite skilled at their craft.
- 'But the Wizard has little time for such things, and he wanted to inspect Khab Kitâx, the Nethergate of Zajâna, instead of waiting here for the show to begin. If you find him there, he will likely show you the fabled libraries of the city. I will tell you if Têrkar and his Travellers live up to their Reputation when next we meet!'
Objective 4
Glorfindel told you that Inkanûsh went to inspect Khab Kitâx, the Nethergate south of Zajâna.
- Glorfindel: 'Inkanûsh has little time for such things, and he wanted to inspect the Nethergate of Zajâna instead of waiting here for the show to begin. If you find him there, he will likely show you the fabled libraries of the city. I will tell you if Têrkar and his Travellers live up to their reputation when next we meet!'
- You have caught up with Inkanûsh and Ulishár at Khab Kitâx, the Nethergate
Objective 5
Inkanûsh is at Khab Kitâx, the Nethergate south of Zajâna.
- Inkanûsh: 'Ah, yes, my friend. Ulishár told me he came with you to the city.'
- The Wizard gestures at the great southern gate.
- 'Whether you name the city Jajân like the Ordâkhai or Zajâna like the Doorwards, it seems both groups agree on this one point: the Nethergate must remain sealed against the possibility of invasion by the Shoghór of the south.
- 'You have already spoken with Glorfindel? He came not with you here; is there still time to visit the great[Library before we return to him?'
- You tell Inkanûsh that the Elf-lord agreed to report on the quality of Têrkar's Travellers' performance, but there should still be time to first visit the library of Zajâna.
- Ulishár taps you apologetically on the shoulder
Objective 6
Ulishár is at Khab Kitâx, the Nethergate, and is very interested in something you have said.
- Inkanûsh: 'What is the matter?'
- Ulishár: 'I am sorry. Did you say the name "Têrkar's Travellers?"'
- You tell Ulishár you believe that is the name of the theatre troupe Glorfindel intends to watch perform elsewhere in the city, and the Kinta's eyes widen with surprise.
- 'I know this group, <name>, but I never thought to see them again! Têrkar and his theatre company were the very folk who aided me in my escape from Emax Dûl! I owe them my freedom, and my life!'
