Walkthrough & Notes

Travel to each of the following locations around the lake in Laerlad, in order: The shore of the Linduin river near where it enters the lake [0.6S, 51.6W] The middle of the stream in front of the Linduin Falls [0.7S, 51.1W] The southern lake shore, north and a little west of Côs Braen [1.8S, 53.9W] The lower part of the Linduin river, northwest of Blómgard, in the middle of the river just upstream from the ford [1.2S, 56.2W] The top of the falls where the Linduin river exits the lake [0.6S, 54.7W] The northern lake shore, southwest of Rhosgobel [0.4S, 53.3W] (Each location will temporarily be named Singing Waters on the minimap, until you leave it. The ambient music will also change, to reflect the song you're hunting.) At each location, use the /listen emote, and then use the parchment (can be found in your inventory). After visiting all six locations, return to Radagast [0.8N, 52.6W] at his cottage and use the /sing emote on him. Talk to Radagast, and then examine the two spots of Shimmering Waters in his pond. [0.6N, 52.6W] Completing this quest is an objective for Quests of the Wilderfolk. Lore Note The song which you are sent to recover, 'Tauralindalë', is the same song that you discover in the quest 'Lost Lore of the Vales: Tauralindalë'. According to the Lost Lore, the lines that Radagast sings translate as: "Apa i vinya luina sír sirë" - "Ah, but the new white stream flows" "Sirë olla cemen, sirë olla ondo" - "Flows over earth, flows over stone" "Nén, tercáno cuiviëva ceutana!" - "Water, herald of life renewed!"

Bestowal Dialogue 'It is just speculation, of course it is. It may be nothing. Let us hope it is nothing! 'But for now, I need to work a magic of protection in order to keep safe my home of Rhosgobel and all of Laerlad while I am away. There is a calm in the woods now; do you hear it? There used to be an old song in these woods, a song that I heard once but have now forgotten. It was sung by all the rivers and streams here in Laerlad, but now it has gone into hiding. If you listen closely enough in the quiet woods you might hear it. 'It was a song of protection, of course it was. I can remember its name, Tauralindalë. If it were to be sung again, perhaps it could keep Laerlad and Rhosgobel well hidden from danger.' Background Radagast needs your assistance in protecting Rhosgobel so that it will remain safe even when the Wizard is elsewhere in Middle-earth.
