Item Talk:Steel-bound Lootbox
It will be interesting to see what these Lootboxes look line when 5.2 is release next week (assumed the week of 13 Feb 2012.
They have apparently undergone some serious "revision" during the recent 2-day beta on Bullroarer. In particular the release notes imply that their drop percentages will increase significantly -- from very rare to rare (10% drop rate).
I have not been able to run any of the Isengard instances, but kinmates tell me that they are "common" boss-dorps in Isengard loot. It will be interesting also to see if the lvl 70 box retains its "different" cute dialog.

- I'm not sure I like the direction the last edit to the page went, but seeing as there are upcoming changes, perhaps I can wait until they come live before complaining too much. I have a feeling that the page needs to have level band clones or somehow made to acknowledge the difference in icon and content for different level ranges. Think about "every item has a unique hidden internal identifier" and "an item has a non-unique name" and "some combination of attributes of an item will uniquely identify it" with respect to lockboxes. - I've gone ahead and done just that - created separate item pages for each of the levels of lootbox, and just linked them to this page. Seeing as these boxes each drop items unique to them, and those items are gradually finding their way onto the wiki without any real collective way of finding them, this was long overdue. -- JnK (talk) 00:21, 23 April 2012 (EDT)
I think we either need this to become a basic page about lootboxes in general (and thus not an "Item:") or just point it to Item:Steel-bound Lootbox (70-75) and copy the "Variants" table across all the lootbox pages like we do with Item:Gift for a Master and siblings. I think I favor the former, although I'm not quite sure where to categorize it - Game Terms? Sethladan 23:46, 6 July 2012 (EDT)
