Effects

Using this skill applies  In Harm's Way to the Captain. In Harm's Way is an aura, and all nearby fellowship members (including Pets) are applied the  Captain's Protection effect. Fellows under this effect have 50% of their incoming damage redirected to the Captain. This damage can not be reduced in any way.

While the default value of decreased incoming damage on nearby fellows is 0%, it is increased to 20% (x0.8) when traited. With the tracery, it can be decreased down to x0.69.

Trait Interactions

  • The trait  In Harm's Way in the Leader of Men trait tree makes this skill reduce incoming damage on affected allies by up to 20%.

Armour Set Interactions

Equipping 6 pieces of the Umbari Armour of the Vanguard armour set acquired from the Depths of Mâkhda Khorbo Raid makes this skill apply Captain's Ward to the fellowship.

Tactical Information

In Harm's Way is a strong group defensive skill, but the Captain must be cautious about when to use this skill, as it redirects 50% of fellowship damage to themself. This damage is not mitigated by Captain's defensives, so Last Stand is a good skill to pair with this to prevent the Captain from dying.
