Hyarmendacil I Ciryaher

King Hyarmendacil I was the fifteenth King of Gondor, ruling from 1015 to 1149 of the Third Age. Born Ciryaher, he took the name Hyarmendacil (South-victor) after defeating the Haradrim and Black Númenóreans and lifting the Siege of Umbar. Under his rule, the realm of Gondor reached the height of its wealth and power.
Hyarmendacil I ruled Gondor for 134 years, and was succeeded by his son, Atanatar II Alcarin. He was honored with a statue and plaque on the Pier of Minas Tirith.
