Description
Halannon the Survivor was the last of the Thandrim, the Gondorian garrison of Durthand, the Black Shield (now known as Durthang). Cut off from Gondor when the forces of Mordor captured the Morannon, the Thandrim slowly starved until they were approached by Ugrukhôr and offered safe passage for their surrender. They did safely pass the Black Gate, but immediately after all but Halannon were slain by Ugrukhôr's archers. Halannon and his descendants have long desired vengeance for this, the Ranger Annoth the latest of them.
