Finrod Felagund
Finrod was brother to Galadriel, Aegnor and Angrod.
He was born in Valinor and followed his uncle Fingolfin's host to Middle-earth along with his siblings.
He was known to be noble and generous, wise, just and powerful.
He established the kingdom of Nargothrond, aided by the Dwarves of Ered Luin. For this he earned the monicker Felagund - "Maker of Caves".
Finrod Felagund, King of Nargothrond, participated in the Battle of Sudden Flame when he lost both his brothers Aegnor and Angrod. Finrod himself was saved by men of the Edain, for which he established long relations and an oath of friendship.
This oath would later lead to Finrod's demise, as 10 years later, Beren of the Edain came asking for Finrod's help. Finrod felt oath-bound to give aid, and traveled to the Island of Werewolves where he was captured and killed by one of Sauron's werewolves.
