The Emyn-nu-Fuin (Sindarin for Mountains under Shadow) are also known as the Mountains of Mirkwood. They are the vast range of mountains separating Eryn Lasgalen (North Mirkwood) from South Mirkwood. The mountain range runs from the Beorning-lands in the east to the Long Lake in the west. Points of interest in the mountains or their foothills include Tham Taerdol, Caras Tilion, and Loeglond where the mountains reach the lake.
