- This page is about Dulgabêth as an NPC. For Dulgabêth in the Court of Seregost instance, see Dulgabêth the Broken.
Description
Dulgabêth, the Black Word (translated from Adûnaic) is one of the Gúrzyul, Black Númenóreans given indefinite lifespans by Sauron.[1] He is the Mouth of Sauron and the Lieutenant of the Tower of Barad-dûr. Dulgabêth is not the name he was born with, for that has long been forgotten.[2] He has in his service an order of red-robed knights, often called Vile Knights or Knights of Dulgabêth.[3][4]
He is the author of the text The Nazgûl, which tells how the titular wraiths came into being.[5]
Dulgabêth (The Wastes)
Dulgabêth, the Mouth of Sauron, meets the leaders of the Host of the West in front of the Morannon for parley.
