Carry-all
A Carry-all is a container for holding items of a specific type. Carry-alls come in three different sizes. They are purchased from the LOTRO Store.

The carry-all itself takes up one slot in the character's inventory. One may have more than one carry-all of the same kind in inventory, each occupying one slot.
Carry-alls are Bound to Account, meaning characters on the same account may trade them via mail or shared storage.
Carry-alls have an auto-gather function which will collect valid items directly into the container when they are added to the character's inventory.

Custom Names
Since Update 40 players may now apply custom names to their Carry-alls. Since Update 41.2, these names will also appear when stored in the Vault. When linking a carry-all into chat (e.g. with ctrl-click), the custom name will show in chat.
To rename your carry-all, click the quill button, then click in the name bar and type. Use the check button that appears to confirm your new name, the X button to cancel your new name, or the reset button to restore the default name of the carry-all.
The Gather button at the bottom will move all appropriate items from your inventory into the carry-all or you may drag individual items into the carry-all. Check the Auto box to automatically gather new items into the carry-all. To withdraw items from the carry-all select a stack and press the left arrow button.
The binding column will indicate bound to character items in your carry-all. Withdraw these bound items to restore your carry-all to bound to account.
Additional Information
Crafting carry-alls were the only carry-alls available for purchase in the LOTRO store while other carry-alls were sometimes available during special sales, such as bundled with LOTRO Point sales, with expansions, or just for a limited time. In the first half of 2023, Healer's, Instrument, Housing Decoration, Task Item, Essence and Tracery, Junk Item, and Dye carry-alls were all added permanently to the store.
Placing an item in a carry-all will remove any crafted inscriptions from the item, and they will not return when removed from the carry-all. This includes both critical-based Inscriptions as well as "crafted by" notations.
A carry-all will obey any binding properties of the items in it. If a character places a bound item into a carry-all, the bag will list as Bound to Character. Also, if a Bind on Equip item is placed in a carry-all, the bag will list as bound to the character who placed the item there; the item itself remains unbound, and will return to its Bind on Equip status once removed from the bag.
Once all "bindable" items have been removed from a carry-all, it will return to Bound to Account.
