Effects
The Captain must be under the effects of Battle-hardened before this skill can be used.
Using this skill applies the following effects:
- To the fellowship within 20m: Light of Elendil
- To the enemy target: Armour Break
Blade of Elendil grants a unique buff to the Captain, depending on their specialization:
- Lead the Charge: Elendil's Boon, increases the damage of the next use of Shadow's Lament.
- Leader of Men: Elendil's Fortune, reduces incoming damage and increases outgoing healing for a short duration. This effect suppresses Battle-hardened while applied.
- Hands of Healing: Elendil's Favour, increases the healing of the next use of Valiant Strike.
When traited, this skill has a chance to apply Situational Awareness Evade Rating to the Captain.

Blade of Elendil is an extremely important skill for the Captain because of the 2 powerful effects it applies. This skill should be used every 10s in every line for this reason, which means that the Captain must maintain their Battle-states. Generally, all Captains try to maintain both battle states, so after using this skill, Battle-hardened should be refreshed.
