Argeleb I was the 7th king of Arthedain, ruling for a short 7 years from Third Age 1349 to 1356.
When Argeleb took the throne of Arthedain, the line of the kings of Rhudaur and Cardolan had already failed. Thus, he rose Arthedain as a new Arnor with Prince Amondir of Cardolan willingly swearing fealty to him. The Lords of Rhudaur resisted this claim however, and instead formed ties with Angmar in the north.
Arthedain and Rhudaur continued their war throughout his realm, and he was killed in battle in Third Age 1356.
