Anûshu

Anûshu is one of the three dragons said to be the offspring of Akhízi. Together with Nuzéru and Rabûg, Anûshu terrorized the lands around the lake of Idagâl in ancient times.

According to the songs of the peoples of Shagâna, Anûshu and its siblings were slain during a legendary battle at the lake that once filled the basin now known as The Dry-whelm. The Shagâni hero Shurug-nîn and the Elven warrior Maethriel faced the three dragons there, wielding the sword Orotheg.

After the battle the bodies of the dragons sank beneath the waters of the lake. Their bones remained hidden for thousands of years until the waters were drained following the event known as the Din of Stone, whose Great Dearth revealed their remains at the place now called Ushumût, the "Grave of Serpents."
