Almaren

The island of Almaren was the original home of the Valar on Arda.

Located in the middle of the Two Lamps, the island grew bountiful with the Spring of Arda, teeming with plants fair and tall.

It was destroyed in the Marring of Arda when Morgoth broke the Two Lamps. The seas rose, continents broke, fires ranged, and the island was utterly destroyed, forcing the Valar to create a new home for themselves. They did so, and named it Valinor.
