Walkthrough & Notes
A bit south along the road a "Disturbed Ground" appears: "A patch of freshly dug earth." A Ghostly Figure comes running from a small camp nearby. At the small camp, inspect a "Fallen Sack". Head west to update the quest, then southwest. Defeat the grave-robbers and their leader. ^{[40.8S, 23.1W]} Return to Waltney Maythorn and Garan Maythorn by their waggon.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue

'Well, look here! My very favourite <class>! Your timing is most fortuitous, once again. Another one of those wretched spirits is pestering good folks like ourselves. I stepped off of the road for barely an instant and it swept towards me most frightfully!

'I was just regrouping and getting prepared to send it packing, but now that you are here... well, youth before beauty. We would be much obliged if you could see to its defeat.'

Background

Waltney and Garan Maythorn's progress is halted once more by a ghost-like spectre.

Objective 1

Look for the ghostly figure

The ghostly figure can be found near the road south of Eitheldir in the western Angle.

You should look for the ghostly figure.

Garan Maythorn: 'My son told me that the ruins are full of treasure! Lost relics of kings and queens who did battle here and fell, spewing curses so potent that none dared to strip them of their goods. They just left them where they fell, and let the birds and wolves see to the bodies.'

Garan shudders.

'I do not believe in curses, but I think we shall continue on our way regardless.'

Examine the disturbed ground

The dirt pile is near the road south of Eitheldir.

You should investigate the pile of dirt.

Search the rocky outcrop

The outcrop is in the southwestern Angle.

You have defeated a Man who was masquerading as a ghost. Search the area of the rocky outcrop he was lurking around for clues as to why he was trying to scare people away from this area.

'So the cur was trying to scare people away from where they were digging by pretending to be a ghost? Well, he certainly fooled me!
