Walkthrough & Notes

You must have Noffer summoned to find truffles (use the Pig Whistle to summon him). Noffer will say "Noff!" when he crosses a spot where a truffle is hidden. Note that this includes truffles you have already collected. Hidden truffle locations can be found along the banks of the three pools around [9.0S, 59.6W]. Noffer must be close (within about 1-2 meters) to a truffle location to trigger it. Truffles can be found at: [9.0S, 59.7W] [9.2S, 59.5W] [9.3S, 59.5W] [9.2S, 59.6W] [9.4S, 59.7W] [8.5S, 59.5W]

Quest Text

Bestowal Dialogue 'Allow me to introduce my trusty partner, Noffer! He is a pig with a job, and he's very good at his job. 'To the south, where the river bends, you will find a place where the wild boars lie around and wallow in the mud. The reason they like this spot in particular is what can be found beneath the earth: delicious truffles! The boars can smell them, and know where to dig. We learned that pigs can be trained to find them as well. Noffer here is very good at sniffing them out. 'Why don't you take Noffer for a walk and see if he can find any truffles for you.' Background Noffer the pig is good at sniffing out truffles. Take him for a walk and see if he can find some for you! Objective 1 Talk to Ingelfled Ingelfled can be found in the village Arhaim in Duskenvale. You talk to Ingelfled. Ingelfled: 'Here, take this whistle. If you lose track of him, he will come running when he hears it. Take good care of him.' Objective 2 Collect truffles (0/8) Ingelfled said that truffles could be found in the boar wallow south of Arhaim. You should bring Noffer to the boar wallow and have him search for truffles. Noffer must be present to find the truffles. Noffer says, "Noff!" Collected truffles (8/8) Objective 3 Talk to Ingelfled Ingelfled can be found in the village of Arhaim in Duskenvale. You should bring the truffles and Noffer to Ingelfled. Ingelfled: 'These look delicious. Good work, <name>! And good work, Noffer! Here, why don't you give him one as a reward for his hard work?' Objective 4 Offer a truffle to Noffer Noffer can be called with the Pig whistle. You should talk to Noffer and offer him a truffle. Non-Beorning Noffer: Noffer grunts happily as he gently takes the truffle from your hand. He trots back to Ingelfled with the truffle in his mouth and begins munching away at it. Beorning Noffer speaks to you in the language of hogs as you offer him the truffle. Noffer: 'One for me? Good good! Back to Ingelfled. Good-bye, new friend! May we hunt truffles again soon!'
