• You are specialized in the Defender of the Free trait tree, and the Adaptability set bonus is active (at 10 ranks);
• The Word of Mastery tracery Increase Block & Parry Rating Application Chance is slotted on a legendary item.

This effect is removed after using one of the following Parry Response skills (note that it is not removed when using further response skills like Thrust or Overwhelm):

•  Retaliation
•  Whirling Retaliation
•  Catch a Breath

This effect may be tiered up to Parry Adaptability II and Parry Adaptability III.
