Gúrthul will split up into several ghostly versions of himself; defeat each of Gúrthul's ghosts as they come at the party one by one from the side rooms. You will end up defeating him seven times (the last being his true form and not a ghost). Each ghost will randomly choose a particular class (even classes which may not be in the fellowship) and apply a 30-second stun to players of that class. He will say which class he is targeting as he does this. Lore-masters can put stun protection on the party members (especially the tank and healer), although sometimes it may need to be re-applied as Gúrthul can also strip stun protection.
