Lore

Azhorns is a term used for Hill-beasts that have been broken and semi-tamed by the Orcs of Mount Gundabad. Trained for battle, the Azhorns were unleashed upon the Dwarves of the Gabil'akkâ during the War of Three Peaks. Azhorns resemble normal Hill-beasts but wear crude armor and bandoliers. It is unclear if the Azhorns were originally native to Elderslade or if they were imported specifically for the war. Howlers' Notch, once a Warg den, has been converted by the Hobgoblins into a training ground of Azhorns. The hillside is now dotted with cages containing the beasts and many Untamed Azhorns can be found there. Adventurers often debate which type are more fearsome -- the broken Azhorns trained for the war effort or those still unbroken and filled with insane rage towards those who would dare imprison them.

Background

Like other Hill-Beasts and Snowbeasts, Azhorns were invented for The Lord of the Rings Online.
