Zurm is one of the bosses found in the Rift of Nûrz Ghâshu in Angmar. He is found in the Bornabar part.

He shares control of the mines with Barz.

Tactical Overview

Preparation

First off, clear of the trash groups in the room - they are similar to the other groups in the first part of the instance: The Troll-Keeper/Troll combo and the Slave-Master/Slave-Worker combo.

  • Main Tank on Zurm, tanking him where he stands.
  • All DPS classes positioned behind Zurm.
  • +4/+5 Hope Token per Fellowship.

Battle

Focus all damage on Zurm until he makes a call-out for adds. Everyone except the MT should run off to deal with the adds, then return to Zurm once they have been defeated. Repeat this process for all three waves of adds.

Adds

The adds for Zurm are identical to the adds for Barz. The two "mine entrances" where they spawn are behind Zurm and near the entrance ramp to Zurm's area.

  • Wave 1 (below 100k morale) - Troll-keeper and Cave-troll from entrance ramp
  • Wave 2 (below 75k morale) - Hillmen Slave and four Hillmen Workers from behind Zurm
  • Wave 3 (below 50k morale) - Slave-master, Hillmen Slave and four Hillmen Workers from entrance ramp

Abilities

At an approximate 10 second interval, Zurm will shout out one of two abilities:

  • "Out of my way!" - Stuns and knocks back the tank and switches to the player with the second highest threat for ~5 seconds.
  • "You will tremble before your end!" - Deals moderate area-of-effect damage within his melee range.
