Q: What kind of admin are you? just for this wiki or do you have connection with Turbine?--Blakborn 15:09, 1 March 2007 (PST)
A: I'm just the wiki admin, nothing more. I have no connections with Turbine other than being a beta tester.
Q: I cant seem to get the breeland picture reclaced by the bree picture. Could you help me with that? --Blakborn 11:37, 3 March 2007 (PST)
A:I assume you mean the opposite. Bree is a town where Breeland is the zone. There is also a map for the bree town. If you use the edit button at the very top of the page you can edit everything but templates or included pages. To edit the templates or included pages you will see links to them at the bottom of the edit page.
Q:editing pages isnt the problem. There was one existing picture for breeland named 'bree.jpg'. When uploading all my maps i noticed it when i wanted to submit a map of bree. I thought that if i saved the map and uploaded it again as breeland.jpg and uploaded the bree map called bree.jpg over the existing picture the problem would be solved. But the page still contineud to display the old breelandmap called bree.jpg. Thats what i didn't understand. Upload warning A file with this name exists already, please check Image:Bree.jpg if you are not sure if you want to change it. (save file) Ignore warning and save file anyway. Doesnt this overwrite any file named the same? Looks like it did nothing at all. It still said after loading that it uploaded the picture. And when looking at the page for bree.jpg i still saw the breeland map and could click one of file history files to see my own. even tell it that it needs to be reverted back to that one but still it showed breeland. I just dont get it. Sure is a long text, just want to learn what went wrong? --Blakborn 16:19, 3 March 2007 (PST)
Hinney When you upload a file and the mediawiki software detects a duplicate file name it will force you to confirm the upload. In your case you uploaded the image file from the image page so you had to confirm the overwrite twice. I have to admit this confused me the first time I overwrote an image, but I think that step is there just in case you uploaded a file and didn't realize one already existed.
Q:whats you clas/race? --Blakborn 10:11, 6 March 2007 (PST)
- can i make some new sub-Categorys for quests?
You should be able to add any categories that you want. Just follow hellis guildlines in the help section --Hinney
questions & requests
it seems that in your last changes in the skill/trait template something went wrong and Class Subcategory seems to be broken, i mean a class for the skill/trait doesn't appear in a list of Categories at the bottom of the page like "Categories: Traits | Class Traits | Lore-master Traits", see for example: [[Beast-lore]] and Silvan Shadows (Trait) (as one of the racial traits which still works)... Subcategories themselves also appear to be empty see for example Category:Lore-master_Traits... --Xander 11:12, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
I've made some changes following Hellis guildlines and the result is that I need to go back and add a line to every class skill and add one line to the template. I'm going to try to have hinney bot this so hopefully it will be resolved soon --Lotroadmin 11:45, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
- All should be well in the categories again. Let me know if I missed any --Hinney 13:20, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
Why did you delete all the monsterskills icons? such as Image:Confidence Rank 3-icon.png The informationhas not been given completely yet but will be in the near future. --Blakborn 13:43, 27 March 2007 (PDT)
The Confidence icon is actually one of the Virtues. The name was confidence, but it was actually an icon for determination. So I took it out.
The monster skill icons are still there. Some had already been uploaded with the name Monster_* (i.e. Monster_Damage_Rank_1-icon.png). Once I noticed this I deleted the regular ones and just linked to the Monster icons. You can see a list with the icons we currently have at Core Passive Skills, which currently isn't linked in anywhere.
