We see large discrepancies between the text in the completed quest log for older quests. I believe that this is because the completed quest log text is create at quest completion time, and is not revised when the quest is updated. I don't recall seeing completed quest log text for a just completed quest that was different from the active quest log text. I have seen differences between old completed quest text and the current completed texts for my other toons, when there has been an intervening update to the game.
