Looks as a good start. I am not sure you need species, and I suggest you make it one page and table per region, then it might be transcluded to other pages of interest. Add Morale/Power and what type of elite it is, and a notes field. And that would be it I think. Not sure what others think though :)

- Ah, interesting. Yes, I do suppose that would certainly add to the usability of the page. I'll make a start on it as soon as I am finished with my currently work. Thank you for the input! -- Cyrilgar (talk) 16:53, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
- An obvious home for this table (when complete) is the Category:Rare Signature page, which all ready lists all creatures that have been idenified as Rare Signatures. RingTailCat (talk) 18:50, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
- The difference between this table (what I'm attempting to do with it, anyway) and the Category:Rare Signature page's list is that this table will sort the Rare Signatures by more than just their name, which helps in both locating and deciding whether or not it is feasible to defeat such a creature at a current level. I'm not saying that to correct you, or as anything contrary to what you've already said, RingTailCat. Merely adding to what you've already said. Thank you two for all the input and help, by the way! -- Cyrilgar (talk) 22:38, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
- If you haven't seen them already, you might also want to check Item:Beryl Shard, Item:Ruby Shard, and siblings. Not all rares are shard-droppers, but it might give you an extra pile of information to work with as you compose the table(s). :) Good luck in the venture! Sethladan 23:44, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
- Thanks, Sethladan! I'm still considering whether or not to include drops like Item:Beryl Shard or Item:Ruby Shard. At the moment, I'm thinking that it might be better to have separate tables for Rare Signatures, Rare Elites, and Rare Elite Masters, then linked tables by region that incorporate which of the rares are then in those respective areas. That way, the master tables for the Rare Signatures, Rare Elites, and Rare Elite Masters are still there, but only linked to the Category pages for each (whereas the respective Rares By Location tables will be linked to each location (somewhere on the Bree-Land page, there's a link to Rare Creatures of Bree-Land; somewhere in The Shire page, there's a link to the Rare Creatures of The Shire; etc.).). -- Cyrilgar (talk) 00:03, 21 August 2012 (EDT)
- @RTC, remember that today creatures end up in several different categories, per type. Not just in Rare Signature. So I envision several different tables: "elites" per region at the "category:region creature page", a specific type with location info at "category:x type" page, and maybe more. But I foresee the "region" tables will be visited the more, as a short-cut for the shard pages ;)
- @Cyrilgar, I suggest you think the other way around. No master table, by several small tables. These are then transcluded to a "master table page" if you want to; compare with Stable-master which is such a transclusion combine. You can ever split a master table, but you can stack smaller tables by transclusion.
- Personally I see no point in having "x type" on its own table somewhere else than on its category page. Why would I ever be interested in a table of all Category:Nemesis but not Category:Arch-nemesis? Is there a real reason for that? Morale is, create tables based on some anticipated usefulness factor, but not from what comes first to mind. In my mind I would look them up per region, but you all know I am the map-oholic. ;)
