Legacy Costs

Hi! I saw you updated the page Template:Legacy/Cost Table. What exactly were you trying to do? If you want to add a new number/rank cost, you have to do some extra stuff - I wrote a short tutorial here. I can help if there's anything confusing about it! Please let me know, or let me know if you don't want to fix the Cost Table template, because it still needs some updates. Thanks!

Ok, I think I've gotten that straightened out. Wasn't sure why the talk page has an incomplete version of the main page for point progression. I added my data to the main page, because that seems to be more complete.

Thanks! The talk page chart is from someone not knowing how to do the edit themselves, I believe, and they were putting the new info down in chart-form to ask for help.  :) The main page is exactly the right place to do it, and you fixed up the Template perfectly, too. Thanks! And sorry for any confusion about the talk pages - I didn't even think of that! My talk page is still in an old style that's not used much anymore (I was gone from the wiki for about a year). Good luck with future updating!

Talking about talk pages

As there's not set practice, typically if you have a discussion you would keep it on the same talk page. If you want to have the wiki alert another editor the best approach is to leave the message on their talk page. It's not uncommon to keep a discussion on your own talk page then on another editor's talk page, leave a message with a pointer back to your talk page. We've tried other things like forums and even an integrated wiki forum, but they too have their own issues.

I will comment that when you leave a message add this to the end of it --~~~~ . This is a wiki code for an automated signature like this: --Lotroadmin (talk) 13:21, 27 March 2013 (EDT)
