About me (Character)
General
Other about Marlutar
Marlutar is the son of Granny Seburga and joined the Silver Thistles (as a chapel) later. He is the father of Sebohra and Sebranda. And as the brother of Sebylla's father, her uncle as well. Marlutar is a pure musician, appearing only as a member of the band 'The Silver Thistles'. He is the only male member of the band from the Silberdistel family and a passionate opponent of headgear of all kinds - at least whenever his head is involved. He is the family's calming influence and doesn't let his daughters get the better of him. He plays his part at the concerts, but is otherwise very reserved with his comments. Online he can be found when
- the Silver Thistles give a concert
- a concert is to be prepared
Marlutar about himself
Yes, I am the father of Sebranda and Sebohra. But even though that's a full day's work with two such bright twins, I also have a job to support my family. After getting married a few years ago, I bought the farm in Staddel from the father of my beloved wife Lilie and now run a successful small pipewort farm there. I grow the finest pipe weed on my small farm, which I usually sell at the market in Bree. I started with two bags of 'Old Tobi' seeds that I bought in the southern quarter. But in the meantime I have also been able to grow a few varieties of my own. I make music to balance out my work in the fields. It used to be just house music, but for a few years now I've been playing the bass or horn in my niece's band. My lily doesn't mind if I play twice a month one evening in Bree, as I can keep an eye on our daughters that way. After the concert, I go back home to Staddel.
That means there is always a very clear goal, which is why invitations to instances or raids, requests for help with quests are regularly not answered or answered negatively. Your consent is implicitly assumed.

Skills
Since the character is only meant for making music, the skills aren't that great either. The crafting is still at the very beginning, fights are avoided as much as possible and the distribution of class points as well as the equipment have been neglected so far.
Roleplay
For the role-playing game on the Belegaer server, a fairly extensive family tree has been created with the usual extensive family relationships for hobbits. To give the reader an overview, just click on the adjacent family book and you will be taken to the page of the Silverthistle family with a detailed description of the family tree. The families that are still in evidence are currently scattered throughout the Shire, in Bree and in Staddel. Only the members of the band 'The Silver Thistles' (see below) are regularly encountered. In the role-playing game, Marlutar only appears in the context of the chapel 'The Silver Thistles', so we will go straight to the ...
Music
Some particularly musical members of the large Silverthistle family first got together to make music at home and, over time, formed the band 'The Silver Thistles' under the direction of niece Sebylla. The Silver Thistles perform every other Tuesday, alternating with the Harfenschlags on the stage in front of the ›Prancing Pony‹ in Bree. In 1422 SR, three more members of the musical Flinkfuss family joined the group. We now play as an octet at the Tuesday concerts and the major events announced in the Auenland Messenger. Nevertheless, the Silberdisteln still play with the old line-up - especially later in the evening - because the Twiens are no longer allowed on stage after the tenth hour in most villages.
The band includes the following permanent members:
- Sebylla, the cousin of Sebranda and Sebohra
- Seburga, my mother, mostly on the drum
- Sebohra, my younger daughter
- Sebranda, my older daughter
- Marlutar, I usually pluck the bass
- Mairad Birnhaag, the editor-in-chief of the Auenland Bote and our singer (since 1422 SR)
- Opalinchen, Mairad's niece (since 1422 SR)
- Hebiadoc, if only he didn't drink so much (since 1422 SR)
In addition, there are several major concerts a year that are based on a specific theme. These are announced in good time in the Auenland Bote and in the Südviertel. Here is a selection of some of the posters:
From my life
Click on the picture with the book if you want to find out more about the story of Marlutar Silver Thistle. This is a fictional, but largely Lore-appropriate vita of the character, which is always taken into account in the role-playing game. The characters refer to the Belegaer server, but the story itself could be set on any other server.
