Manage Traits at Class Trainers

Suddenly we can manage our traits at class trainers, the same way as at Bards. I cannot find that mentioned in the patch notes but am pretty sure it was not there a week ago. I guess it warrants updates to some pages, just that I will not do it (bogged under location changes).

Interesting! Which trainer was this at? At the Minstrel Trainer in 21st Hall, I don't see the option to manage traits. Sethladan 17:21, 19 December 2012 (EST)
The Hunter trainer in Training Hall (Bree), the former Mess Hall at the Market Square. Curiously there is a Bard inside that hall as well. -- Zimoon 17:25, 19 December 2012 (EST)
The same is for the Hunter Trainer outside Bree-town Hunting Lodge. I will check other NPCs over time and outside Bree, but a guess is that it is not bound to neither Hunters nor Bree ;-)

I checked the Minstrel Trainer (wish Turbine would make up their minds whether or not they want NPCs to have names...) in the Training Hall and she offered this option, too. Will have to check the regular trainer in the Pony and keep my eyes open, as well. Could be that the 21st trainers are the oddballs since they offer armour barters - makes sense that they might be a slightly different NPC template or something in the game code and could have been overlooked in this stealth "feature." Crafting xp

Can't get in the game to check myself, so: Is the new craft xp you get from resources and crafting for your character, or for your profession...? Gwenwyfar (talk) 21:56, 26 December 2012 (EST)

It's regular old character experience, meaning it's possible now to level up (albeit slowly) your character by crafting. Sethladan 23:06, 26 December 2012 (EST)
The XP you gain from harvesting resource nodes and executing crafting recipes is the same XP as you get for monster slaying and quest completion. This XP is in addition to the crafting experience that you get for doing recipes that leads to proficiency and mastery in your profession.
At lower levels (i.e, below level 20), you can gain much more experience by crafting than by slaying mobs and questing. This upsets the balance between XP gain and actual combat experience.
Crafting XP is a mixed blessing. When you level through crafting XP, you may fail to complete slayer deeds and you will not have incremented the class deeds that require using your skills on non-grey level mobs.
From what I understand, the XP disabler item does not disable XP gained from crafting, so you have to stop crafting if you really want to stop leveling!

Oh. Thanks for the clarification.
That sucks then. Good thing I have my scholar at eastemnet already, because I do not want to level her (yet). But that's probably gonna be a pain for my other character... Not to mention that for someone who likes completing all quests in an area that will let you on an even higher level than you already are for the area just with quests... Hope they at least make it possible to stop that xp with the xp stopper item.

Yeah, I had hoped for crafting XP, this sucks :( -- Zimoon 08:52, 27 December 2012 (EST)

Sealed relic tooltips

Sealing crafted relics, such as Item:Sealed Device of Agility have had their tool tip text updated to include the minimum item level at which they are usable.

Prior to this release, only some sealed crafted relics displayed the minimum item requirement, where one existed. You did not discover that restriction until you deconstructed the sealed relic.
