We're a small, but growing Kinship made up of a few founding members with a long roleplay background; having created and been a part of successful roleplay guilds in a number of MMORPG's. 'The Mithril Order' was born out of an idea for a mithril obsessed Dwarf-only kinship, driven by a desire to reclaim their inheritance. We are a fun, mature RP guild (with an OOC kinship chat policy) looking for like-minded people to share in our grand endeavours.
Some background info is below, which should give you a feel for what we're about. Further to that, you'll find some background lore by clicking the 'Khazad-dûm' link on our website.

Background
Founded 52 years ago by Elorin of the Iron Hills and a company of Dwarves from Durin’s Line, The Mithril Order were established in secrecy. Fueled by an ever increasing desire for riches, Elorin and his band of companions set about fulfilling their desire for prosperity and their thirst for adventure.
Enchanted by the rare and precious metal, Mithril; the companions of The Mithril Order drove orcs, trolls and evil-doing foulness from the land at every opportunity – enjoying the thrill of battle and the spoils of victory in equal measure. For years, the Order enjoyed a prosperous and rich livelihood, and their ranks swelled considerably – each of them consumed with a thirst for riches, but with an overwhelming desire for something bigger. The dream of one day reclaiming the great halls and underlying riches of Khazad-dûm is a common one among Dwarves throughout Middle-earth, but the Order were determined to rid Moria of the infamous Balrog and drive away the evil that resided there.
An assault on Moria was never forthcoming. Internal squabbling and the treachery of Elorin’s closest aid meant that the Order were in disarray. Their numbers dwindled, and greed got the better of many of Elorin’s most fearsome warriors as they aligned themselves with the troublesome Dourhand clan. Elorin clung to his values, and although the company scattered throughout Middle-earth, Elorin and a loyal band of Dwarves hung onto the great treasures accumulated over the years and they retreated to safety.
The Order's history in recent years is also shrouded in mystery and secrecy. Rumours mention of a rare and highly sought-after Mithril artifact, hidden away under the Order's careful watch. Storytellers describe the once-mighty Kinship fondly, although many believe that the adventures of Elorin and his fellows are long since over.
