CARNIVAL OF SHADOWS
The Carnival of Shadows is a small kinship of friends who have gamed together for a number of years. Originally formed in 1962 by the Defense Intelligence Agency to develop satellite imagery of advanced Soviet missile platforms while at the same time defending the Earth from numerous Inter-Galactic threats which were, of course, unbeknownst to 99.99% of humans. The Carnival quickly degenerated into an online gaming circle.
Despite losing 3 members to the Trans-Dimension Civil Strife of 1968 and 1971, the alien threat was nullified and the Carnival was able to resume its gaming.
In 1983 however, CoS was taken captive by Regulian Commandos posing as diplomats at the Grand Peace Conference of Emperor Nghajkyefgh. The Carnival escaped after 14 years of captivity on Janik but lost 2 members due to the intense labor they were forced to endure at the Loalian Pleasure Camps.
Following the Great Cybloc War of 1998, during which CoS accounted for 31 Griblik kills, the Carnival relocated to Jacksonville, Florida and opened a pastry business.
Quickly tiring of the donut business, CoS re-asserted itself as a top tier guild when World of Warcraft was released. However, the Fallopian Migration of early 2006 forced the guild to leave WoW and return to working for the government.
Fortunately with the collapse of the Taurathian Empire and the rise of Viceroy Gorbnan to supreme dominance, the kinship was able to exert it's influence over both the Tau Ceti and Markus IX systems and establish dominion everlasting.
This has allowed for time in which to play LOTRO....at least for now.
