'Well, you are here in Eorlsmead right now! Stangard was built at the location of the war-camp Eorl established when he came south. Now, that was hundreds of years ago, but we have not forgotten.

'This is an outpost of Rohan; you will find no women or children here. The men at this outpost have given the King reason to send them hither. Such reasons varied, but they are also private.'

Tell me about Thinglad.
'Thinglad is a haunt of Elves. We do not go there unless we must. The Elf-queen who lives there works terrible sorceries, and can ensnare even the most cautious man with her glamours.'

Tell me about Parth Celebrant.
'Parth Celebrant is where the worst of the fighting took place five hundred years ago, when Eorl rode out of the north to come to the aid of Gondor.

'Cerdic is one of the scouts stationed in Parth Celebrant, and he has spent many months combing the battlefield for relics of the past. He is a nervous man, better with artifacts than with people. You will see this when you meet him.'

Tell me about the Wailing Hills.
'High atop the Wailing Hills, a mighty statue was erected in memory of the Battle of the Field of Celebrant. This is the Cuthstan, and it depicts the meeting between Cirion, the Steward of Gondor, and Eorl the Young. Long has lasted the friendship between our peoples.

'Magla watches the approaches through the canyons between the hills. He followed his brothers into service, but it is clear to anyone he would rather have remained at his home, and stayed a simple farmer. Still, he is braver than you would thing to look at him, or to hear him speak.'

Tell me about the Rushgore.
'The Rushgore is a swampy land between the River Limlight and the Great River, and it is home to many foul creaturs. It is patrolled by Edbrit, who was a strong warrior in his younger days and has now learned the wisdom he lacked, making him even stronger. He is given to loneliness, and is overfond of speaking with strangers and travellers he meets on the road.'

Tell me about the Brown Lands.
'The Brown Lands are a desolate place, grim and inhospitable. Nothing can grow there for long.

'Gamal was sent there to scout for signs of Easterling encroachment. He is trying to save enough coin to purchase a horse of his own, and not just any horse! The steed on which his heart is set is named Leoma, and he believes the blood of the mearas flows in her veins. Maybe it does, I cannot say.
