Walkthrough & Notes

Erscin is held captive inside the Carn Dûm (Instance) ^{[11.8N, 34.4W]}
He is a bit hard to find but
Make your way thru the slave pens to the slug sewers to the ruins and the tower base, then head up the tower. Once you get outside again, head south. This is the duvardan quarter, with surprisingly no duvardan. Only full fledged Angmarim, and gorthorog are here.
After making your way you will find some hill women, and gorthorog fighting. When you get close the gorthorog will knock them off the cliff to their alleged doom, and turn around to fight you. Erscin^{[11.8N, 34.4W]} appears to be the only survivor of the fight besides you. If someone has a quest to save Erscin, and then clicks continue quest, then a bunch of sleeping gorthorog will spawn. Take care to follow Escrin, and avoid the gorthorog. After he makes it back to the tower you can kill the gorthorog.

'My husband remains in Carn Dûm. I know you have already done so much, but please...find it in your heart to help me once more.

'Erscin is strong of back and force of will. I cannot imagine that he fell to the Orcs, though perhaps he tried to escape and was killed. I cannot bear to imagine such things.

'If he lives, I fear he will not live long. I am sure that the Evil Ones will punish any slaves that remained behind. You must return to Carn Dûm and find him!'

Background

The slaves of Carn Dum were set free, but Osbail, a woman of the Hillmen dwelling at Gath Forthnir, is still missing her husband.

Objective 1

Find Erscin

Carn Dûm lies far to the west of Tármunn Súrsa.

Éa begged you to find her missing husband, the Hillman-warrior called Erscin.

Objective 2

Escort Erscin to safety
Don't wake the Sleeping Gorthorog Warriors along the way.

'Thank you, stranger. Whoever you are, I can see that you are no Orc-friend. Let us depart this evil place. And please, whatever you do, do not awaken the Gorthorog!'

Objective 3

Talk to Erscin

'Thank you, <name>, for rescuing me. I must return now to my wife. She will be worrid that I have left her. 'You may continue on. I know the way from here. Be well, friend'

Objective 4

Talk to Éa

Éa is at Tármunn Súrsa, east of Carn Dûm.

You found Erscin, alive and well, within Carn Dûm and returned him to safety. You should let Éa know the good tidings.

Éa: 'My dear husband has returned to me! Thank you, Southron, for all you have done!'
