Bestowal dialogue 'With Captain Álarr's blessing, we have access to the murder location! We should make our way there.' Background Captain Álarr has allowed you access to the location of the murder. Join Mervárth in investigating the Master's murder! Objective 1 Find the murder location The murder location can be found somewhere in central Lake-town. You should find the murder location. This appears to be the location of the murder Objective 2 Talk to one of the guards at the Murder Location The murder location can be found somewhere in central Lake-town. You should talk to one of the guards the location of the murder. Lake-town Guard: '<name>? Captain Álarr instructed us to let you investigate the area. You may look, but please do not touch anything. This is where we found the Master last night. We believe the murderer was hiding behind that crate, pushed the Master against the wall, and stabbed him with that knife. Let us know if you find anything worthwhile.' Objective 3 Investigate the murder location The location of the murder can be found somewhere in central Lake-town. You should investigate the murder location. RED KERCHIEF "A kerchief has been left behind. Did the murderer drop it?" A red kerchief has been left behind Mervárth says, "A red kerchief! This looks just like the ones worn by the Lake-town smugglers!" MURDER WEAPON "The dagger used to kill the Master. It is quite ornate." Is this the murder weapon? Mervárth says, "That must be the murder weapon. Seems pretty ornate for a common thug..." RUST "A strange spot of rust on the ground." A mysterious patch of rust coats the ground Mervárth says, "What's this? Rust? The guard didn't mention this." Objective 4 Talk to one of the guards at the Murder Location The location of the murder can be found somewhere in central Lake-town. You should talk to one of the guards the murder location. Lake-town Guard: 'Rust? No, I don't know anything about the rust. But Mervárth thinks the red kerchief belongs to the Lake-town smugglers? That is an important piece of information! I will let Captain Álarr know.' Objective 5 Talk to Mervárth The murder investigation is complete. You should talk to Mervárth. Mervárth: 'Well, that was certainly illuminating. It appears our Master was murdered by the Lake-town smugglers!'
