This quest can not be active at the same time as the quests: Misplaced Companions, A Fool's Errand, The Green Challenge, or A Laugh at the Lost. Accepting this quest will make those quests temporarily unavailable. This quest is available at the beginning of the hour. When it becomes active, you will get a region-wide message: The chickens are running through the Hedge Maze! Follow the paths and find the wandering chickens. They tend to have a walking path, so may not be in the same spot every time. While not a timed quest, the chickens will only be active in the maze for fifteen (15) minutes. When they disappear, you will get a region-wide message: The chickens have escaped the Hedge Maze...

Bestowal dialogue 'I am delighted that you are here! You would not believe what fun I've been having in the maze. Chickens! Oh, they are delightful when they run about so. 'If you wish to partake in the chicken chase, you must run in and catch them before they escape! The tricky part is finding them in the winding hedge. And the other tricky part is finding your way out once you've caught yours. 'Mind you don't lose your way when you go inside! It can be very tricky within the foliage, you know.' Background Every year, the hobbits let chickens loose in the maze, and they must be rounded up before they break through the hedge and get loose in the fields. Objective 1 Collect chickens before they escape (0/2) 2 Chickens Every hour, chickens are released into the hedge maze in Bree. They are only there for fifteen minutes out of every hour, so catch them while you can! You must collect chickens during the time that they are running amok in the hedge maze. Collected chickens (2/2) Objective 2 Talk to Buttercup North-took outside the maze in the Horse-fields Buttercup North-took is standing outside the maze entrance in the Horse-fields. You should speak with Buttercup North-took and tell her about all the wonderful things you accomplished inside the maze. Buttercup North-took: 'Look at all these chickens! You certainly did your part. Now you must have a reward.'
