Bestowal Dialogue

'We have secured Ahâba and the aid of the Beltáni, but now an even greater diplomatic challenge must be tackled. To the west, the soldiers of Aradûn gather. It is time for my new envoy to prove her worth!

Unusâli has volunteered to travel with you and Sorkamâl and provide an introduction with the Aradûni stationed at The Dawn-warden. I trust her to keep you safe while you cross the scorched lake-bed. Numûru and I will stay here and organize our soldiers as they arrive.'

Background

To make contact with the Aradûni, you and Mizâdi's envoys must travel west, and cross the perilous dry lake-bed.

Objective 1

Unusâli and Sorkamâl will be travelling to the Dawn-warden with you to meet with the Aradûni.

You should talk to Unusâli.

Unusâli: 'I have met with the Aradûni before. It only makes sense that I go with you. They are yet another people who seek justice against Ordâkh. I trust my people will be good hosts to Mizâdi and her soldiers while I am gone.
'To quickly reach the Aradûni at the Dawn-warden while avoiding the Ordâkhai, we must cross the dry lake-bed. It is a treacherous journey, full of venomous reptiles, wild drakes, not to mention the oppressive heat. In recent months, it has become even more dangerous. There is something... unnatural out there, harrying any who cross. Because of this, we must also travel with Hidâti, our elder Kâparai mystic. She will keep us safe.
'The three of us will go ahead and meet you out there. Look for the dragon bones.'

Objective 2

Unusâli, Sorkamâl, and Hidâti have gone ahead.

You should meet them near Ushumût, the Grave of Serpents.

Mizâdi: 'There you are, <name>! Unusâli says we are about half-way through our journey. It cannot end soon enough, I say! I did not anticipate tromping through dangerous drake-infested wasteland when I volunteered to serve as Mizâdi's diplomat....
'Wait... do you hear that? Is that the... wind?'

Objective 3

  • Defeat the mirages

You are being attacked by fell mirages, seemingly caused by Ishími, the Anguished Wind.

You should defeat the mirages!

Is that the... wind?'
The wind picks up, and with it comes the whispers...
Sorkamâl the Forbearing says, "What is that sound?"
Unusâli says, "Hidâti?"
Hidâti says, "It is here. Ishími. Prepare yourselves."
Sorkamâl the Forbearing says, "A Mirage?"
Sorkamâl the Forbearing defeated the Great Dread-tortoise.
Progress has been added to the Reward Track.
Unusâli says, "Real enough to cause us harm!"
You must face target.
Hidâti says, "I will push it back! Hold fast!"
Unusâli says, "More come!"
Sorkamâl the Forbearing says, "Even more! When will this end?"
Hidâti says, "The ritual is almost complete!"
Ishími departs, and the whispering ceases
Hidâti says, "The Anguished Wind has left us, for now."
Unusâli says, "We must hurry to the Dawn-warden. Come."

Objective 4

Unusâli, Sorkamâl, and Hidâti have gone ahead to the Dawn-warden.

You should continue west and find the Dawn-warden.

You once again hear the whispering of the Anguished Wind

Objective 5

It seems that Ishími, the Anguished Wind haunts the Dawn-warden.

You should find the Aradûni officer in charge of the camp.

Captain Hanâbu: 'I was not expecting visitors... but you do not look like Ordâkhai. Who are you, stranger?'
You explain that you and your fellows are envoys representing Shâra Mizâdi and Renewed Hamât.
'You are with Shâra Mizâdi? Word of her valour has reached us even in Aradûn! Please, make yourself at home in our camp! Though, even we do not find it comfortable. Not with that accursed howling wind!'
