Bestowal dialogue

'Hysing told me about your encounters with the Ghâsh-hai. They appear to be a clever tribe, but I believe we can influence them if we are careful in our manipulations. For whatever reason, the bulk of the Ghâsh-hai have chosen to side with the Orcs of Moria, but I think I may know how to sway their allegiance back to Mordor.

'If these Fire-orcs came, as we believe, from Mordor as early emmissaries into Khazad-dûm, it may be that they can be frightened into service once again. If they are made to believe that the Dark Lord is aware of their betrayal, they may return to his service.

'Throughout Durin's Court, the Ghâsh-hai have several altars -- I dare not think of their purpose. I have prepared several stones, each marked with the symbol of the Great Eye. Place them upon the altars in the Ghâsh-hai camps...when they see the symbol of the Eye burning upon their altars, they should rethink their allegiance.'

Background

The dwarves believe they can trick the Ghâsh-hai into allying with the forces of Mordor by convincing them that Sauron is aware of their betrayal.

Objective 1

The Ghâsh-hai altars can be found within Durin's Court to the south of Anazârmekhem.

Gúthi believes the Ghâsh-hai can be convinced to join the forces of Mordor. He wants you to place several stones marked with the Great Eye on the altars in Durin's Court.

Gúthi: 'All of the altars must bear the marks for them to believe that the Dark Lord has turned his Eye upon them.'

Objective 2

Gúthi is in Anazârmekhem to the north of Durin's Court.

Gúthi will be pleased to hear all the stones were placed upon the altars.

Gúthi: 'The marks have been placed, and already I see the banners of Mordor flying above Ânghumu-ru and Durin's Court. This may seem small and rather counter to our goals for Khazad-dûm, but we could not have had a better outcome.
'The Twenty-first Hall is secure -- for the time being, at least -- and we no longer have to fear the Orcs coming at us before we are prepared. Khazad-dûm is on the verge of witnessing a terrible war once more...and this time, by my fathers, the victory shall be ours!'
