Greet the Sun
"You have reached the East Gate of Moria at last, after a long and strenuous journey through the dark."

Background

It is time to leave Moria at last, and soak up the fresh air again.

Objective 1

  • Talk to Svanr

Svanr is in the First Hall of Nud-melek.

Svanr: 'I cannot wait to see the sun, moon, clouds, and stars once more!This trek has been a long one, and sad. We have suffered many losses.
'I cannot be more thankful to lay eyes upon the fair sun once more, <name>.'

Objective 2

  • Follow Svanr to the Dimril Dale

Svanr can be found outside of Moria, in the Dimrill Dale.

You should speak with Svanr.

Svanr says, "This way, my friend!"
Svanr says, "Ah! I can smell the open sky!"
Svanr: 'Here we are. If you don't mind, <name>, I would like a moment to myself.'

Objective 3

  • Talk to someone at Mekhem-bizru

Mekhem-bizru can be found down the path from the East Gate of Moria.

Someone: :'Welcome to Mekhem-bizru! I am pleased to see that you made it out of Moria with your skin still intact. You must be a bold warrior.
'You may rest here, and look out upon fair Kheled-zâram.'

Objective 4

  • Talk to a dwarf at the Mirrormere's edge

Kheled-zâram is the great lake that lies on the Dimrill Dale.

You should speak to a dwarf looking out upon Kheled-zâram.

Dwarf: 'Beautiful, is it not? It is true that the stars of the Mirrormere shimmer always upon the surface of the water, be it day or night. Look for yourself!'

Objective 5

  • Look out at the Mirrormere from Mekhem-bizru

The Mirrormere, also called Kheled-zâram, is the lake that lies against Mekhem-bizru in the Dimrill Dale.

You should look out upon the Mirrormere from Mekhem-bizru.

NOTE: This quest requires emotes.

The dwarf invites you to look out upon Kheled-zâram
This is a good vantage point
The waters of Kheled-zâram look cool and clear, the stars shining fair upon the surface like glimmering jewels

Objective 6

  • Return to Svanr

Svanr is in the Dimrill Dale.

You should speak with Svanr.

Svanr: 'How fair and fresh the Dale! I am glad I lived to see it.'


Svanr: 'I feel refreshed, and ready to return to the depths of Khazad-dûm to continue helping the expedition establish a foothold.
