Background
Ides has asked you to walk with her and to listen as she expresses her thoughts.
Objective 1
Ides can be found at the mill, north of the training grounds.
Ides wishes to discuss her thoughts with you.
- Ides: 'I am eager to learn more from you, <name>. I know it will not come easily, but I will become a shield-maiden, no matter the cost.
- 'I am fortunate to have met someone with the same determination and will to do good that I see in myself...and in my father.'
- Listen to Ides share her thoughts
- Ides says, "My strong will and determination are traits passed down from my father."
- Ides says, "Father loves all of his daughters dearly, and he has supported my dreams of becoming a shield-maiden."
- Ides says, "Yet his greatest desire is to sire a son, an heir to groom to take his seat when he should pass."
- Ides says, "When Mother passed away, Father was devastated...but he never abandoned his desire for a son."
- Ides says, "His strong determination will not allow him to fail. He will pursue a new wife with dignity and purpose."
- Ides says, "I am confident that he will succeed in the end, and he will have his son, at any cost."
- Ides says, "With enough training, I hope to be able to rally and inspire others in the way that my father can."
- Ides says, "Oh! Can you hear something?"
Objective 2
Ides can be found at the mill, north of the training grounds.
Ides seems to have heard a noise and wishes to inquire about it.
- Ides: 'I hear the faint roar of fighting coming from the training grounds. We had better investigate with haste.'
- Ides says, "Hurry, we must be prepared."
- The sounds of combat can be heard to the south
Objective 3
- Follow Ides to investigate
Ides can be found at the mill, north of the training grounds.
Ides seems to have heard a noise and wishes to inquire about it.
- Ides says, "Edwulf, no! This is horrible."
- Talk to Ides about Edwulf
- Ides: 'Edwulf has been wounded! It is not a fatal blow, but he will need someone to protect him.
- 'This must be the work of the Uruks, <name>! No doubt they are assailing the training gounds. Go and assail the Uruk-intruders, whle I stay and watch over Edwulf.'
- The grunts of Uruks can be heard coming from the training grounds
Objective 4
- Defeat the Uruk-hai at the training grounds (0/9)
Uruks have assaulted the Rohirrim training grounds.
Ides has asked you to help deal with the attacking Uruk-hai.
- Edwulf says, "Please... save the camp... the Uruk-hai..."
Objective 5
- Return to Ides along the road
Ides can be found along the road, west of the training grounds.
After defeating the Uruk-hai invaders, Ides awaits your return.
- Ides says, "A timely return, <name>. A large Uruk approaches!"
Objective 6
Ides can be found along the road, west of the training grounds.
Ides has spotted an Uruk, and will need your help to defeat it.
- The Uruk-hai have been routed
Objective 7
- Talk to Ides along the roadway
Ides can be found along the road, west of the training grounds.
After defeating the Uruk-hai invaders, Ides awaits your return.
- Ides: 'We have defeated the invaders! It is most fortunate that we were nearby... Edwulf's wounds are not fatal, and the damage to the camp will be quickly repaired.
- 'These men owe us their lives, <name>. We arrived just in time.'
- Ides: 'We must allow time for the men to recover and restore the camp.
- 'Once again, I am honoured to be your student.'
