This quest is only available during the Hard Tack of Thorin's Hall Craft Event. The quest becomes active after the following regional announcement: Hard Tack of Thorin's Hall is now recruiting volunteers. This quests advances by completing multiple tiers of 5 prospecting quests (see Quest Chain). Completing tier I and II rewards 10 Participation Ribbons. Completing tier III rewards 20 Participation Ribbons. Completing tier IV rewards 5 Runner-up Ribbons. Talking to the coordinator before the event ends (presumably) awards  Winner Ribbon. Bestowal Dialogue 'Greetings! I can tell by the callouses on your hands and the definition of your arms you swing a pickaxe. Your arrival is most fortuitous. We are making hard tack. We are making a large batch to assist in an expedition of dwarves delving deeper into the mountains. 'We need able bodies to find the ever-burning ore in these halls to keep the cook-fires burning. There is much to do and you will be rewarded for your efforts.' Accepting this quest will lock you out of accepting the Assist or Cook Quests in the Hard Tack of Thorin's Hall Event. Background Cooking large amounts of hard tack takes a full community effort. As a prospector, you are well-suited to assist the dwarfs and reap the rewards for your assistance. Objective 1 Earn Thorin's Hall Commendations - Tier I (0/5) Hard Tack at Thorin's Hall ends Aid the cooks of Thorin's Hall to keep the cook-fires burning while they make hard tack for an expedition under the mountains.
