Walkthrough & Notes

This quest counts for the Aiding the Sutcrofts deed. Completing Aiding the Eastemnet will cancel this quest This is an instanced public questing area. Talk to Waldeg to enter the area. The required mobs spawn in waves and run in to confront the Rohirrm NPCs defending the settlement. In this instance there appears to be no NPC 'tagging' so feel free to defeat mobs with their aid which will register towards the completion count. Defeat 10 mobs to complete the quest. To leave the instance either return to and interact with, the Return to Snowbourn horse at the instance spawn-in location (centre of Walstow). Or use the 'Leave Instance' feature (right click the character portrait).

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'The Enemy is once again on the march, this time to the south. A concerted force approaches Walstow from the north, south, and east. The town has already suffered great losses. Without reinforcement it may not last this battle. If Walstow falls, the southern gate into Rohan belongs to the Enemy. 'You must aid Walstow and stand with its defenders. It cannot fall.' Background Walstow has been surrounded on all sides by an army of Orcs and trolls. Objective 1 Defeat Orcs and Trolls in the defence of Walstow (0/10) Orcs and trolls are attacking Walstow. Waldeg asked you to join in the defence of Walstow, protecting it from an army of Orcs and trolls. Waldeg: 'Are you prepared to withstand the Enemy's assault at Walstow?' Enter the Public Instance: Defence of Walstow Objective 2 Talk to Waldeg Waldeg is at Snowbourn. Waldeg will be pleased to hear that Walstow has been defended. Waldeg: 'They will come again, they always come again, but for tonight the people of Walstow can sleep secure.'
