Walkthrough & Notes

This quest involes a skirmish that can be completed Solo, Small Fellowship, or Fellowship Join Panel. This Skirmish has a minimum level of 55. If this is your first skirmish, you should visit one of the Skirmish Camps found throughout Middle-earth and speak with a Skirmish Captain to properly train. Skirmish Camps can be found in the following regions: Ered Luin, Bree-land, the Shire, the Lone-lands, the North Downs, the Trollshaws, Evendim, Forochel, ANgmar, Eregion, Moria, and Lothlórien. Before you can begin the skirmish, you must reach a quest objective (Stóthkell) in the Way of the Smiths inside the Moria zone. The simplest way to reach this from the 21st hall is to take swift travel to the Shadowed Refuge, then slow travel to the Orc Watch. Look for a double door as you are riding toward the Orc Watch, it is along the north wall of the Redhorn Lodes map, close to the Orc Watch. End travel there and walk to the door to enter the Way of the Smiths. No need to walk all the way down to the end of the ramp in the Silvertine Lodes. For some reason this door is not marked in the quest guide or in the Radar map, but it works. If you are a Hunter, you might think ahead and click the campfire next to the Way of the Smiths door in the Silvertine Lodes, when you are working on the "light the lamps" quest. Keep it there until this quest is complete. Complete the Skirmish: Battle of the Way of Smiths.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'We are with you, <name>. We will stand against the Orcs to the end, whether into ruin or triumph, though the Orcs thirst and slaver for our very blood.... '...And then we will close the door if we must. If it comes to that, your presence will strengthen our resolve regardless.' This quest involves a Skirmish that can be completed at Solo, Small Fellowship, or Fellowship group sizes by using the Skirmish Join Panel. This Skirmish has a minimum level of 55. Background The time has come for the dwarves to stand against the Orcs of Moria, but Bósi and Brogur have lost hope that they can achieve victory beneatht the mountains. Objective 1 Complete Skirmish: Battle of the Way of Smiths Stóthkell is in the Heart of Fire. You should speak to Stóthkell when you have gathered your allies and are ready to man the defences of the Way of Smiths. Stóthkell: 'We must protect the Heart of Fire.' Objective 2 Talk to Stóthkell Stóthkell is in the Heart of Fire. You have defended the Heart of Fire from attack by the Orc-hordes, and should speak now to Stóthkell. Stóthkell: 'I must confess to you that I did not think the Orcs would be able to counter our plan. It is good that you were with us when things went sour, or this would be a grim day for the dwarves indeed! 'Instead, victory! The Heart of Fire remains in our power, and we live still to use it!'
