Walkthrough & Notes

This quest used to be a fellowship quest but can now be completed solo or a smaller fellowship. Drukordh is roaming around the innermost of Hîgropor. To get to him from Meluinen, enter the mountains at approximately [14.5S, 45.4W] and follow the path west and then south into Nan Wathren. Continue generally southwest and downhill, then bear to due south and back uphill. If he is not at the first quest marker near the gates to Higropor, continue generally south and slightly east, bearing right (south) as you pass through some gates and up a ramp to where he stands. A good Fellowship may use whatever path that leads to him, and fight their way through the elite mobs; others, see below. Solo or incomplete Fellowships: The Shimmering Elf-stone may be used in certain areas, initially activates at 17.5S, 47.0W, once the buff has applied you must keep in certain "paths" where it sticks. Should you lose the buff, instantly run back to where you last had it and find the proper path. The buff is about 15 minutes and can only be applied at certain spots along the path. You may wait for Drukordh to walk away from the other mobs before engaging in battle so that no adds participate. He paths at 18.9S, 46.3W Keep away from the dread-totem, but there seem to be no other mobs nearby anymore.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'This Council of Esteldín -- I wish that I could simply commit to such an endeavour, but it is not so simple. Many of my people are nearly overcome with grief and anger at what happened here. And the threats against Lin Giliath are not yet dealt with. Our scouts tell me that the Orcs in Nan Wathren are planning to move against us soon. 'The scouts say that these Orcs are being led by a great Uruk of Angmar named Drukordh, who camps in the deepest parts of Nan Wathren. Perhaps if this Uruk were slain, Lin Giliath would be protected enough for me to come to your Council. It is a heavy burden, but I would task you with this, if you remain of stout heart. 'The Uruk is a mighty foe, and so you should not attempt to confront him on your own. If you must, then use the strength of this elf-stone to find the strength to prevail from deep within yourself.' Using the Elf-stone allows you to access the inspiration buff while solo or in a smaller fellowship. Background When you arrived at Lin Giliath, Gildor told you that the Orcs to the west are planning to move against the Elf-glade. Objective 1 Defeat Drukordh Drukordh can be found in the deepest, most southern recesses of Nan Wathren. Gildor told you that if the Uruk Drukordh were slain, then Lin Giliath would remain safe enough for him to come to the Council of Esteldín. You were warned not to confront the Uruk without the help of allies. Gildor Inglorion: 'The Uruk that leads the Orcs of Nan Wathren is called Drukordh. Our scouts say that he camps in the deepest, most southern recesses of Nan Wathren. If this Uruk were slain, the threat of the orcs attacking Lin Giliath would be lessened, and I could come to the Council of Esteldín.' Drukordh has been defeated! Objective 2 Return to Gildor Inglorion at Lin Giliath Gildor can be found in Lin Giliath. With the Uruk Drukordh slain, you should make your way back to Gildor and bring him this good news. Gildor Inglorion: 'Ah! You have done it! We heard the wails of the Orcs from here! You have seen to the safety of Lin Giliath, <name>, and for this you have my thanks!'
