King Narmacil I was the seventeenth King of Gondor, ruling from 1226 to 1294 of the Third Age. Narmacil is remembered primarily as being Gondor's second childless king. He was not a great King, and indeed soon tired of the role.
Narmacil I sat on the throne of Gondor for sixty-eight years, but for fifty-four of these years Minalcar ruled Gondor as Regent. Narmacil died childless, and was succeeded by his younger brother Calmacil. For some reason, he was honored with a plaque in the Player's Tier of Minas Tirith.
