Info: Second child of Húrin Thalion, called "Laughter"

Lalaith was the second child of Húrin Thalion and the sister of Túrin Turambar. She was known for her joyful nature, and Lalaith means "Laughter" in Sindarin, reflecting her cheerful disposition. Lalaith was a happy child, and her presence brought joy to her household. She was often compared to Elven children for her playful and spirited demeanor. Her older brother, Túrin, cared deeply for her but preferred to observe her from a distance rather than join in her games.

She died at the age of three from a plague sent forth from Angband. Her death caused profound grief in her family. Afterward, her brother was instructed not to speak of her again, and her mother mourned her loss, lamenting that laughter had left their home. Lalaith’s early death had a lasting impact on Túrin, who would later seek the memory of her in the women he encountered, seeing echoes of her likeness in figures such as Finduilas.
